WZZM 13 Receives Promotional Marketing Awards

Grand Rapids, MI- WZZM 13, the Gannett owned ABC station in Grand Rapids, Michigan is honored to take home both a PromaxBDA (The Broadcast Design Association) Silver Award
and an ABC Network "Alpha Award" for creation of "Best Digital Media" promotional message, "Angry Birds".
Promax was established in 1956 as a non-profit, full-service, membership driven association for promotion and marketing professionals working in broadcast media. In 1997, The Broadcast Design Association (BDA), which had partnered with Promax for years on their annual conferences, officially joined forces with Promax and became PromaxBDA.

The ABC Alpha Awards is an annual marketing contest which showcases the great promotional work of the ABC Network affiliate marketing professionals. This is a first Alpha Award for WZZM 13.

Both awards were given through professional juried panels.

"Our promotional team works very hard to create memorable messages that both resonate and entertain our audience," said Janet Mason WZZM 13 President & General Manager. "It is very difficult to break through the barrage of advertising messages out there, and these awards prove that our spots 'rise to the top'.
