Don't miss the Grand Rapids premiere of the short film Free Pie, created by local filmmaker Caleb Slain! Free Pie is a traumatic comedy about life, death, pie and death. A mysterious man arrives at the lavish home of a washed up rockstar to explain that his father, who died 20 years prior, has actually been alive the whole time... but just died. Starring Ralph Lister, David Gries and Esther Thorp, this film is a must see!
Caleb Slain is a 22 year old director, writer and editor who resides in Grand Rapids, MI. He has been internationally awarded for his vibrant use of evocative storytelling in both short films and commercials. Slain's cinematic short documentary It Ain't Over world premiered at South by Southwest in 2012 and he recently finished his cinematic short documentary Juggle & Cut, as well as Free Pie.
