Houlihan's has opened its new Breton village restaurant.

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A new business is bringing more food and more jobs to Grand Rapids.

The general manager of Houlihan's cut the ribbon Tuesday to the new restaurant in Breton Village.

The restaurant features made-from-scratch foods from up to 19 cultures.

Houlihan's expects to employ up to 100 people.

"This has been such a welcoming community to us everybody has been so amazing," says Peggy Fischer, the restaurant's general manager. "We've heard from so many people, 'This is exactly what we needed, we're so glad you're here we're going to come back.' We've already got people who have been in several times during our first week of business and we're just, really appreciative of the community and how welcoming they've been to us."

As part of Tuesday's opening celebration, Houlihan's is donating $500 to Kids Food Basket.
