HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) - Holland Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Family Fare Gas Station on Washington Avenue.

Police were called to the station about about 10:45pm Thursday night.  The suspect allegedly walked into the store brandishing a black, semi-automatic handgun, grabbed the store employee by the hair, and pulled her to the cash register and forced her to open it.  He fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

An Ottawa County K-9 team tracked the suspect to an area where it appears he got into a vehicle.  The suspect left clothing items behind in a dumpster.

The suspect is described as a tall black male between the ages of 18-30, muscular build, wearing black shorts, a gray shirt and baseball cap with a black shirt covering has face.  Check out the attached surveillance photos for more.

Police believe a potential witness pulled into the gas station during the robbery and may have seen the suspect.  The witness was driving an older red pickup truck.  Police are asking him to come forward.
