UPDATE at 11:00 P.M. (WZZM)--A 14 month old Montague girl is in critical condition after she was found at the bottom of the pool behind her home on Indian Bay Road.

Investigators say Adrianna Rose Priese was not breathing and unresponsive. They say her mother and other adults and children were enjoying the pool around 5 p.m. Friday when they discovered the child was missing.

"Somebody noticed the baby was no longer in eyesight of the group and they began to search in the yard," says Muskegon County Sheriff Dean Roesler. "Immediately they went over to the pool and that's where they found her."

"I went down the road to see what was going on," says neighbor Tony Neuville. "All I could see was ambulances. And people were screaming, panicking, you know."

Although the child had no detectable heart beat, the sheriff says there was hope when paramedics rushed her to the hospital.

"Paramedics were able to resuscitate her, restore a pulse and a little bit of respiration," he says.
