GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Pools of all sizes are popular places to be the heat. Grand Rapids has three public options, but which one is the best?
The city has three community pools open for the summer, located at Briggs, Richmond and Martin Luther King Jr. parks.
We found a team of random children who were willing to visit each of the pools with us Tuesday to have them judge the facilities.
Our team started at Briggs Park just after it opened on a weekday at 12:30 p.m. Our "experts" played in the pool, jumped from the diving board, frolicked in the fountain and went down the slide.
Our next stop was Richmond Park, where the team took part in the same activities. They repeated their "testing" at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
When we began assessing the views of the team, members could not come to an agreement. Members felt MLK Park's diving board was stronger, firmer and cleaned off, and that the park's slide was faster. Others liked the pool area at Richmond, while more suggested Briggs was the right size pool for a family.
The pools are open Monday to Saturday through August 17.
