Jury deliberating fate of road rage suspects

UPDATE GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A jury is deliberating the fates of Jeannette and Jountay Davis in a murder trial that started with a road rage incident.

WZZM 13's Peter Ross reports that the jury got the case at about 2:00pm, after prosecutors and defense attorneys made their final statements.

Prosecutor Chris Becker told the jury that both Davis' made bad choices that day in February and need to be held accountable for those choices.  Jeannette Davis' attorney said that this incident is a tragedy for all involved.

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Closing arguments are set to begin in a Grand Rapids murder trial that stemmed from a road rage incident.

Jeannette Davis is on trial for murder and her brother, Jountay is on trial as an accessory, in the February killing of Lance Byers after a minor traffic crash at Lafayette and State Street.

Thursday morning, the defense presented their only witness, the mother of Jeannette and Jountay, Regina Davis.  The defendants did not testify.

The prosecution rested their case on Wednesday after two days of testimony.
