Gluco, a Jenison factory, has employees working earlier shifts to avoid the hottest part of the day.

JENISON, Mich. (WZZM) - At Gluco in Jenison, men make machines. Hand-made - made in West Michigan.

Gluco machines are used to inject and compress plastic, foam and rubber. The machines they make inject the plastic or rubber and they make products like the kind of molding that would go around the window of a GM truck.

If you want to support this company, buy General Motors. Sales and employment have doubled here since the depths of the auto industry downturn in 2008

"We seem to be doing well and I've been able to hire new people just because the GM market and all the other car industries are going up so fast in production," said Ryan Pysarchik.

Gluco employs 40 people and expects to add jobs this year - more electricians and builders.
