PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-Members of the WZZM 13 team broke a sweat Saturday to help those battling Cystic Fibrosis.

This was the third year for the Bump for Breath volleyball tournament, which took place at The Score in Plainfield Township. Organizers say it's a fun competition for beginners and experienced players. Proceeds from the tournament will go to Friends and Families of Cystic Fibrosis.

"Parents especially single parents who have children affected by this disease sometimes just don't have the means to be in the hospital for three weeks and still pay their bills and go to work, so we help out with things like that; heating bills and things that might come up while they're staying [at the hospital]," said volunteer coordinator Shanon Wieber.

Over the past three years, participants in Bump for Breath have raised about $8,000 to help hundreds of people fighting Cystic Fibrosis.
