GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) Five non-profit groups are in the running for a $45,000 grand prize project from Erhardt Construction. 
 

Our week-long look at those finalists continues with Crash's Landing a cat rescue and placement center located in Grand Rapids. 
  

Crash's Landing takes stray cats off the streets of the Grand Rapids area, and attempts to find permanent homes for them.  Voting for Erhardt Construction's "building our community" contest started yesterday.  

Organizers plan to use the grand prize for a new on-site medical treatment room. Dr. Jen Petrovich with crash's landing, "We don't have a medical suite on the premises. What our goal is, if we're fortunate enough to win this money, is to turn one of  rooms, either this room or another room in to a medical suite, a facility where we can provide better medical care immediately to our cats here at the shelter.

Voting for Erhardt Construction's "Building our Community" contest started Monday.
