LANSING, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Michigan State Police and Department of Transportation want to make sure drivers are not confused about speed limits in construction zones.
They created a video posted on YouTube to teach drivers how fast they can go in the zones.
The video shows a man who just cannot understand which speed limits apply and where.
The trooper advises drivers to follow the three "L's" of driving in construction zones:
- Look for workers
- Locate workers
- Lower your speed as you pass the workers.
In areas with barrels blocking lanes for construction, drivers can only go 45 miles per hour. In areas with concrete barriers, drivers can go 60. If there are no workers present, the speed limit is 60.
