OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - A Kent County man who disappeared earlier this week has been found safe. Jeffrey Oakes, 28, was last seen Monday evening.
Police were concerned for his well being because he is known to abuse alcohol and has a prosthetic leg. Oakes was thought to be at a friend's cottage on a lake, using a speedboat, but when relatives went to the location on Woodbeck Lake in Spencer Township, Oakes was not there.
Police confirmed Oakes was found safe Wednesday morning.
