Lauren Stanton and Lisa Johnson try the Xhose
MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - The Xhose is said to be the incredibly light weight, expandable hose. When you turn the water on, it's supposed to expand to three times its size and contract within seconds.
We tested it out with a viewer who was skeptical. Lisa Johnson thought the Xhose would be perfect for her yard because it would be easy to hide away and it wouldn't be so heavy dragging through her landscaping.
We really couldn't believe how light weight the Xhose is. It really did expand, it didn't leak or kink and it seemed quite durable. It took seconds to contract as we drained the water out of the Xhose. It felt like ribbon when the water was removed. You could fold it up and easily throw it in a flower pot or under a bush - that's how small it gets.
We were so impressed by the Xhose, I wanted to buy one. Lisa wanted a couple and our photographer ordered a few online as well. As with any product that sells online like this, there are shipping and processing charges that can get steep.
If you check out the website, www.xhose.com , you'll see a 25-foot hose sells for $19.95, 50-foot for $39.95, 75-foot for $49.95, and 100-foot for $59.95. Some of the larger hose sizes are actually two you connect together, but you will have separate shipping and processing charges.
But, considering how much you'd spend on a traditional hose, all of us thought it was worth it. It is perfect for boats or RV's and the storage is so easy because it's so light-weight.
At this point, I can't say how long lasting or durable the Xhose will be, but I'm confident enough to buy one for myself.
