GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Bing Goei, a write-in Republican candidate for the 76th District seat in the Michigan House of Representatives, fired back at Democrats Friday after claims that he violated election laws.
The Kent County Democratic Chairman sent a letter to the Secretary of State asking her to investigate contributions made to Goei's 2010 campaign. The chairman claims that Goei failed to report thousands of dollars in late contributions.
In a statement released Friday, Goei says that he contacted the Secretary of State to ask if any outstanding statements were due or fees were owed and the office told him no.
