UPDATE AT 6:50 P.M. -- Eastbound M-6 at Kalamazoo Avenue is open again.

CALEDONIA, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police shut down eastbound M-6 near Kalamazoo Avenue Sunday afternoon after an accident involving a car and a pickup truck that had a camper attached to it.

The accident occured around 2:15 p.m., and, as of 6:15 p.m., the area is still closed to traffic.

Michigan State Police haven't released many details on the accident yet, but say that the tan Chevrolet car hit the truck, which ended up on its side with the camper on top of it.
