Kentwood (WZZM) - A traveling tribute to those who fought for our country left West Michigan Sunday.

The 'Cost of Freedom' features an 80% replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

It was on display at Veterans Memorial Park in Kentwood. Sunday, crews dismantled the display to move it to the next city.

Veterans say this kind of memorial is an important part of how they move on after a war.

"We're able to reflect, I think in a good way, on the guys we were with and the guys that we know that are on here and the guys we didn't know," said John Blummel of Alto. "It was our generation and somehow it gives us closure and I think some kind of peace and it's good to come, always good to come to something like this."

The 'Cost of Freedom' tribute also includes memorials from every war or conflict since World War II.
