SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- An 80 year-old Hart man was killed in a single vehicle crash Monday.
Police say that the man was driving east on Baseline Road around 1:00 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and drove through a fence before running into the side of an airport hangar.
An ambulance transported the man to Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby, Michigan where he was pronounced dead. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and he was wearing a seatbelt.
Michigan State Police are continuing the investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
