ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - Workers at Bethany Christian Services believe every child needs and deserves a family-- even if their parents can't or won't care for them. To make that a reality for as many children as possible, dozens of supporters donated hundreds of dollars apiece to play in Monday's Bethany Open at Egypt Valley Country Club.
Money from the outing will help the organization find more homes for children.
Bill Blacquiere, President & CEO of Bethany Christian Services says a stable home and family environment is a necessity. "A family provides protection for children, a family provides a future for children. Children without a family do not have a very bright future-- many of them end up in jail, suicidal, or abuse drugs, so Bethany's goal is put every child in a family."
Bethany Christian Services is a non-profit agency that depends largely on donations. They provide adoption and family services in 30 states and 13 countries.
