GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- One of this year's ArtPrize artists stopped by WZZM 13 studios Monday to talk about her entry and get some work done on it at the same time.

Holland photographer Denise Woldring will display pictures of 119 different West Michiganders at work. The finished product will be titled "Backbone of America". One of the jobs that will be displayed in the piece is that of a news anchor, so Woldring added to her entry when she was here by photographing Juliet Dragos.

Each picture will be on an aluminum square. When each square is connected, it will make a nine foot by seven foot project.

The piece itself means a lot to Woldring.

"I'm just happy to be able to do this and to represent American workers in this country," she said. "It's important to me, so that's what it's all about and I can't wait to see the finished product, myself."

Woldring's work will be displayed at The B.O.B. Her original venue was 25 Kitchen, but after it closed The B.O.B. offered her a spot.

ArtPrize runs from September 19-October 7.
