GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Storms rolled through West Michigan overnight, causing trees to fall and power to go out for thousands.

In Kent County, a tree fell across the road on Michigan Street near Taos in Ada Township. Crews removed the tree by about 6 am.

In Newaygo County a large tree fell on top of at least one house. No one was hurt in that house. Newaygo County Dispatch says about 100 trees are down in the County. Power is out at the Newaygo County Courthouse, causing it to close all day Tuesday. Other Newaygo County offices are open.

In Montcalm County, a large tree fell and blocked Woods Road.

Consumers Power reports 39,000 customers in Michigan lost power during the storms. Here are some of the power outages in West Michigan as of 4:30 am:

Consumer crews are assessing damage and making repairs. Power will be restored to customers throughout the day Tuesday.
