WEST GLACIER, Mont. (AP) -- Officials in Glacier National Park say the search for a Michigan man has turned up some clues that are helping focus the search effort.
One of the search parties found partial boot tracks near Mary Baker Lake on Tuesday that match the sole pattern of boots believed to be worn by 19-year-old Jakson Kreiser of Hudsonville, Mich. Kreiser was reporting missing after failing to return from a planned hike from Logan Pass to Avalanche Lake on Saturday.
The park also received a call from a hiker who was on the Hidden Lake Trail southeast of the Logan Visitor's Center who helped establish Kreiser's location Saturday morning.
Kreiser was in his first summer working as a seasonal employee at Lake McDonald Lodge. A park service investigation found he had very limited backcountry hiking experience.
