ROCKFORD (WZZM) - We're half-way through the Olympic games, and while many of America's best athletes are living their life-long dreams, here in West Michigan, a special friendship is helping one man to realize his dream.
On some evenings, when most people are heading home to eat dinner and relax, Beverly Chesebro of the Grand Rapids area is putting on her athletic shoes and heading back into the heat to meet her running partner.
18-year-old Johnny Agar of Rockford has Cerebral Palsy. He can't walk, can't stand without help, and has limited use of his arms and hands. But he gets to experience something that most people in his condition don't - the thrill of running, swimming and biking.
WZZM 13 General Manager Janet Mason shares Chesebro and Agar's special bond.
