GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A new company wants your old electronics. Advanced Technology Recycling is now open in what was an old mattress factory in the 700 block of Hall Street SW. The company offers free recycling of electronics like computers and fax machines.
It's already starting to connect with school and community groups to collect e-waste as fundraisers.
"We are offering non profit organizations and schools money for the electronics they collect from now until Labor Day. That is a great incentive for schools if there is a program they have that are valuable and they have budget constraints," says Whitney Ehresman.
The electronics recycling center is open Monday-Friday from 8 - 5 p.m. The business will create 12 new Grand Rapids jobs.
