WALKER, Mich. (WZZM) -- A man wanted for a murder on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is under arrest in Grand Rapids, following a six-month national manhunt.

The U.S. Marshal's Service arrested Glen Joseph Davis, 42, in Walker on Monday.  Davis is being held in the Kent County Jail on a charge of embezzlement of a vehicle.

Davis was wanted in connection with a March murder in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.  Business owner Maurice Colly, 83, was killed in an apartment complex he owned.  Police later found Colly's body in the trunk of his car in the complex's parking lot.

The search for Davis was featured on an episode of "America's Most Wanted" in June.

Investigators believed Davis was somewhere in the Kalamazoo-Allegan-Grand Rapids area because he has friends in the region.

The Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and Walker Police received a tip claiming Davis had been seen several times near Alpine Avenue and I-96.  Deputies and officers set up surveillance in the area and spotted Davis around 3 p.m near Alpine Ave. and North Center Dr. NW.  Officers arrested Davis after a brief bicycle chase.

Davis has prior arrests for extortion, escape, narcotics, forgery, burglary and larceny, according to a U.S. Marshal's Service news release.

Davis will be held in Grand Rapids until he is extradited to Mississippi.
