LANSING, Mich. (WZZM) - People who missed their bi-weekly unemployment certification appointment this week will only have Thursday as a make-up day for their certification.

Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency is undergoing a system-wide computer upgrade from 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, through 8 a.m. on Monday, August 13.

The upgrade will shutdown the MARVIN by phone and MARVIN Online as well as the Claim Web Account Portals to users during this time.

Additionally, staff will be unable to assist customers on Friday, August 10, as all of the agency's customer service lines including MARVIN will be unavailable. Also, the UIA's 14 problem resolution offices will be closed to the public as staff will be unable to access customer information during the upgrade.

The agency will resume its normal hours of operation on Monday, August 13.
