GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Jury deliberations will continue Friday in the trial of a Grand Rapids man, charged with murdering a toddler.
Police say new evidence and witnesses led to the arrest of Pedro Navarro, nearly seven years after the death of Aiyana Cisneros. In 2005, police found the girl unresponsive in her Curtis Street home.
In 2006, Aiyana's mother, Samantha Winkler entered a guilty plea to second degree murder for failing to get medical attention for her child. But Winkler claims Navarro, her boyfriend at the time, was the one responsible for Aiyana's death.
