ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-Witnesses say a Muskegon man who was critically injured in a motorcycle crash, was not wearing a helmet.

The accident happened at 4:19 p.m. Saturday on North Cedar Road at 128th Avenue in Robinson Township. Ottawa County deputies say 49-year-old Anthony Dexter missed a turn and lost control of his motorcycle, likely crashing into a road sign.

Dexter was conscious when he was flown to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Saturday evening.

Deputies say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, but speed likely was.
