GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Grand Rapids is home to more than one hundred thousand people and a growing number of them are popping up on YouTube showing off their singing, dancing, and many other random skills.

Lip dubs have been done by Calvin College, Grand Valley State University and even for the city of Grand Rapids.

Sunday, Davin Risk, from Genesus United Methodist Church had a new idea church dub. The lipdub video gathered churches from all over Grand Rapids to celebrate faith in a positive way.

Risk says, "It's so nice to be able to do something like this to show a different side of religion. That it doesn't have to be a list of things you can and can't do. It can be a way to live your life and have fun doing it."

Risk says he got the idea from his pastor at church.

"She referenced the Rob Bliss video and the fact that the negativity received by newsweek was turned around by 4 million views, and that's how church dub was born."

His hope now is his video gets people clicking on YouTube to watch and inspire others to see a positive side of Grand Rapids faith.
