Meth lab bust in Plainfield Township.
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Michigan (WZZM) - Two people are in custody after a meth lab was found in Plainfield Township.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department were called to a house in the 8300 block of Wateredge Drive, near 10 Mile, to check on a woman the caller said was under the influence of drugs.
When deputies arrived, a man and woman fled from the house. They were caught a short time later and taken to jail for manufacturing methamphetamine and on outstanding warrants.
Deputies found an active meth lab in the house as well as evidence of other drugs. A state meth lab response team was called in to clean up the house.
The owner of the house was not taken into custody, because he apparently did not know the other two people were making meth in the house.
