CHICAGO (WZZM) - The woman who rowed around Lake Michigan for breast cancer awareness plans to write a book about her experiences.

Jenn Gibbons rowed in to Chicago Tuesday to complete her journey. She says she was raped six weeks ago, while sleeping on her boat near Manistique in the Upper Peninsula.

Police believe her attacker likely traveled a long distance to sexually assault Gibbons, tracking her location through her bog. Police released a sketch of the man and a detailed description of his yellow Jeep with a smiley face cover over a spare wheel.

Just days after the attack, Gibbons returned to Michigan to finish her journey around Lake Michigan. WIth a group of friends, she bicycled from the Upper Peninsula to Muskegon, where her boat was waiting. From Muskegon, Jenn rowed south and was greeted by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department marine unit. The unit greeted Gibbons, saying "On behalf of the human race I am very sorry for what happened to you. You are safe here."

After arriving in Chicago, Gibbons says she will write a book about her experience and expects that will help her heal.
