Jazz saxophonist is performing at GRand Jazz Fest.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - GRand Jazz Fest is coming to downtown Grand Rapids Saturday.
This is the first year for the community Jazz Festival, which was the vision of Audrey Sundstrom. The event is being organized in conjunction with the West Michigan Jazz Society.
Performances run from noon until 10 p.m. at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids.
Here is the schedule of events:
12 noon - Festival starts
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra with Edye Evans Hyde
2 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Walt Gutowski & The Bridge Street Band with Michelle Covington
3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Grupo Ayé
5 p.m. - 6 p.m. - The Steve Hilger Jazz Quintet
6:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. - Phil Denny8:15 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Tim Bowman (headline act)
10 p.m. - Festival concludes
