KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - A West Michigan community paid tribute Saturday to a local Navy SEAL, killed in Afghanistan.
David Warsen, 27, was one of seven service members who died when their helicopter was shot down. Warsen was supposed to return home as early as next month for his wedding in December.
Saturday, small flags lined the curbside of the neighborhood where the East Kentwood graduate lived. A few neighbors also lowered their large flags to half staff, in honor of Warsen.
Funeral arrangements for Warsen are pending.
