Jeff Jacobson and Mark Gongalski say initially their brewery will focus on four to six styles of beer. Eventually they would like to add more styles and use their equipment to assist area home brewers take their own recipes to production.

The Unruly Brewing will use around half of 10,000 square feet of space on the first floor and basement of the Russell Block building. The Muskegon Retail Incubator recently secured a lease for all the space. The M.R.I. has the commitment from Unruly and is seeking multiple food vendors to use smaller portions of the first floor to compliment what the brewery will offer.

Renovations are underway at the Russell Block building to accommodate small retail space. Now that a large anchor tenant has been secured the focus will now center around beer and food.
