Classic cars will be celebrated in the annual 28th Street Metro Cruise, which starts Friday afternoon.
CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM)-Excitement is mounting for this year's metro cruise, and the classic cars area already rolling down 28th Street.
Some of the vintage automobiles filled the parking lot outside Pal's Diner Thursday night for the Cascade Metro Cruise Warm-Up. Visitors enjoyed classic rock, food and family friendly events. Paul LeMat from the classic 1973 film, "American Graffiti" also made an appearance.
"I played John Milner in the movie and I drove a yellow deuce coupe in it. It's pretty popular and sometimes the owner of the coupe brings it to car shows too, and they love that car. They want me to get out of the way [saying], 'Yeah you were in the movie, but I want to see that car,'" said LeMat.
The 28th Street Metro Cruise officially starts at 4 p.m. Friday.
