CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WZZM) - A townhall meeting scheduled Friday night to discuss the an on-going dispute between the city of Cedar Springs and Red Flannel Festival organizers has been cancelled.

Interim City Manager, Roger Parent, issued a news release this morning saying the citizen organizer of the event has decided the meeting is no longer necessary.

The long dispute most recently resulted in a trademark lawsuit, forcing the city to remove the red flannel logo from city property.

However, the city and festival organizers say they are moving forward and the festival will go on as scheduled in early October.
