Mammogram bus stops in Roosevelt Park

ROOSEVELT PARK, Mich. (WZZM) - The Spectrum Mammogram bus spent the day on the lakeshore providing mammograms to uninsured and under insured patients.

The bus stopped in at the Sherman Street Plumbs store Saturday morning.  Helene Dusendang a mammogram technicians says it is important to get regular mammograms to detect early signs of breast cancer saying" thats what they go by just comparing year to year films."

Spectrum also set up information tables staffed by Komen volunteers where customers could sign up for mammograms at a future date. 

The bus travels throughout west michigan year round for more information on where the bus will be go to its website.
