GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Kitchen 67 Brann's Cafe celebrated its grand opening Saturday evening in Grand Rapids.  Mayor George Heartwell was there for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The innovative concept restaurant is getting attention around the country as it ties technology to your dining experience.  Third generation restauranteur Johnny Brann Jr came up with the fast casual concept, combining high-flavor recipes with seamless technology integration.  The collaboration with Verizon Wireless is a first of its kind experience for diners.

 Brann says "I created it to be somewhat like a mood ring for the diners, if you would like to get something quick on the go for lunch or dinner you can do that.  We can also create an atmosphere where we can kick back and relax and enjoy a great atmosphere in which we can control by the touch of a button."  Kitchen 67 features wireless charging spots embedded in the tables, a digital jukebox controlled by Ipads at the tables, and free high speed wireless internet access.
