(USA TODAY) - What's with all the death hoax stories, people?
Google Search was on overload this week as fans have tried to find out if Bill Cosby, 75, had died. (He hasn't!) Rumors began swirling that the funny man had died when an "R.I.P. Bill Cosby" Facebook page popped up, sending Twitter into a frenzy. It's not the first inaccurate report of his demise. In 2010, the veteran comedian mentioned to CNN it was his fourth time being reported [dead]."
Bill Nye the Science guy was also said to have died over the weekend. Not true.
Rihanna was reported to have had a heart attack on Monday. Also not true.
And Eddie Murphy's latest death -- Tuesday -- was said to have been the result of a snowboarding accident. As Gossip Cop notes, the actor has been "killed" about a dozen times in recent years. But he, too, is alive and well.
