HASTINGS TOWNSHIP, MIch. (WZZM) - An early morning mobile home explosion left a 59 year old man severely burned.
At around 2:20 a. m. Sunday Barry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of an explosion at 2905 South Charlton Park Road. When they arrived they found the male resident standing outside a full engulfed trailer home fire. He was transported by Lifenet helicopter to Spectrum Butterworth for treatment.
Area residents were evacuated as a precaution while firefighters worked to put out the fire. They have since been allowed to return to their homes.
No cause for the explosion has been determined, the incident is currently being investigated by the State Fire Marshalls Office.
