CATO TOWNSHIP (WZZM)- A four-car crash on M-46 killed two people and injured four others Sunday afternoon.
Michigan State Police say a Ford Ranger truck traveling westbound crossed the center line and struck a Ford Flex head on in the eastbound lane. The accident happened around 5 p.m. near Satterlee Road in Montcalm County.
The driver of the Ranger and the front seat passenger in the Flex were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Flex was flown by AEROMED to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids. The three other passengers in the Flex were taken by ambulance to Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview.
Two other cars were involved, as they tried to avoid the collision. Police say no one in those vehicles suffered any injuries
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, but the investigation is still ongoing.
