NEWAYGO, Mich. (WZZM) -- A Newaygo County man appeared in court Monday for his arraignment in connection with the investigation into Amanda Lankey's 2004 murder.
Marcus Wallis pleaded not guilty to two counts of perjury.
Authorities say he lied to investigators during questioning.
Marcus Wallis is related to Cecil Wallis Sr., who recently committed suicide after being named a person of interest in the Lankey case.
Amanda Lankey was 13 when she was killed, and last seen at Cecil Wallis Sr.'s house. The Lankey family says they're glad justice is finally being done.
Marcus' mother, Candace, is also being arraigned for perjury charges. She'll be in court later this week.
