(WZZM) - When in doubt, ask.

That's what we discovered when searching around West Michigan for college student discounts.  In the entertainment category, we found discounts on video games, movies, museums and even skiing.

At the Gaming Warehouse in Grandville, Wednesday is the day to "super save".  Every Wednesday, your active college ID will get you 10% off the purchase of a used video game or movie.  Used video games are priced all the way up to $50, so this deal could save you as much as $5.

Celebration Cinema offers a college student discount.  It's $1.50 off the $10 General Admission price everyday.  The Grand Rapids Public Museum offers a college student discount of $5 off its regular $8 admission, bringing the price down to just $3.

If you're looking for a discounted meal out, why not try any of the four Uccello's Restaurants?  Your college student ID gets you 15% off your food purchase.  Uccello's has locations in Grand Rapids, Grandville, Standale and Caledonia.

If you like Q-doba, you're in luck too.  A college student ID gets you a free regular priced beverage with an entree purchase, a savings of $1.69.

There's no snow on the ground yet, but Cannonsburg Ski Area has a deal for college students.  A season pass costs $199 compared to the regular rate of $359, a savings of $160.

After all that fun, you probably need to get some work done too.  That's where the Apple Store comes in.  It offers "Education Pricing", a discount on nearly everything a college student needs for the classroom.  To see the discounts, go to Apple's website and click on the "store" dropdown at the top of the homepage.  "Education Pricing" varies by your college or university so search out your school and take advantage of the savings on your electronics purchase.

The expression "poor college student" doesn't mean you can't have fun, especially when you're "super saving".
