EUREKA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Crews from three counties helped to put out a fire in a Montcalm County home Wednesday night.
The fire was reported around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 10300 block of South Stakes road in Eureka Township, near Greenville Municipal Airport.
Firefighters say an elderly couple living in the home spotted the fire in their garage and got out of the house safely. The fire soon spread to the rest of the couple's home.

Crews are still trying to assess the damage and the cause of the fire.
Firefighters from Montcalm, Ionia and Kent counties assisted on the call.
