MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) - A Fruitport Township woman died Wednesday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 31.
According to Muskegon Police, Megan Krypel, 27, was driving northbound on U.S. 31 at about 5:30pm Wednesday when she started weaving from lane to lane, striking another vehicle before swerving off of the road. Her pickup truck vaulted over another vehicle on the onramp to U.S. 31 from Laketon Avenue and came to rest in a dirt parking area on the south side of Laketon.
Krypel died from her injuries at a local hospital.
Muskegon Police are still investigating the crash and are looking for anyone who witnessed the crash or Krypel's driving on U.S. 31 prior to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Muskegon Police at 231-724-6750.
