Lowell, Mich. (WZZM) The Lowell community is inviting the public to a number of brainstorming sessions to help improve the city and surrounding areas.  They are calling it the "Greater Lowell Community Vision Cafe."  The following message was posted on the city's Facebook Page.

Come to the Greater Lowell Community Vision Café!

Your input will be a key part of the effort to form a vision for the Greater Lowell Community. There are many ways you can give us your thoughts, but maybe the easiest (and most fun) will be the three Community Vision Café events. We hope you will try to attend at least one of these events to join your neighbors to share a meal and your thoughts and ideas about what we like about the Greater Lowell Community and what we might like to see in the future.

What's it about? We will talk about the future we'd all like to see for the Greater Lowell Community. Some of the topics that may come up are listed below, but almost anything that affects our community may be considered:
...
Sidewalks Parks/Trails/River enhancements
Business recruitment and retention Utility extensions
Rural land preservation Special events
Health Education
Art Housing
Historic Preservation Roads

When? Three events:
Wednesday, October 10th
Tuesday, October 23rd
Thursday, October 25th
Food service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the workshop sessions starting about 6:30 and going until about 8:30

Where? All sessions will be at the Lowell High School, Freshman Cafeteria, 11700 Vergennes.
Who is invited? Everyone!! Bring the kids. We will have childcare for children up to 10 years of age. Older kids are encouraged to participate in the conversations, because it's their community, too.
Cost? No, these events are free of charge, sponsored by the Lowell Community Fund.

We hope to see you there because we need to hear from you!
