GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - It was a night for local chefs-in-training to show off their skills at the 2012 Cascade Iron Chef competition.
It's a showcase for the skills of students at the Secchia Institute of Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College.
The judges included local chefs, food and travel writers, and former U.S. Ambassador to Italy Peter Secchia and his wife.
WZZM 13 health reporter Valerie Lego was the master of ceremonies.
