LANSING, Mich. - (WZZM) The registration deadline to vote in the November election is Tuesday October 9th. Applicants must be 18 years old by Election Day, a U.S. citizen, a resident of Michigan and the city or township they wish to register in.
Voters may register by mail, at their county, city, or township clerk's office, or at any Secretary of State office. The mail in registration form is available at the State of Michigan's website.
First time voters registering by mail must vote in person, unless they hand deliver the application to their local clerk, are 60 years or older, disabled, or are eligible to vote under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act.
