KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) - A West Michigan auto supplier has joined a lawsuit against the federal government for religious freedom violations in the Affordable Health Care Act.
Autocam founder and CEO John Kennedy joined the lawsuit filed by the Thomas More Society in U.S. District Court against the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The complaint is a "direct response to the Obamacare Health & Human Services mandate requirement that they provide group insurance coverage of abortions, sterilization, and birth control for their employees," according to a press statement from the Thomas More Society.
In a YouTube video entitled "In Good Conscience", Kennedy talks about how the benefits he is being mandated to provide go against his Catholic beliefs. (Watch the video below).
