(WZZM)- Don't let the rain keep you at home. There are plenty of fun things to do around town!
The Salvation Army Kroc Center is hosting its first Hispanic Heritage Celebration.
The fun starts on Saturday at 2 p.m. with carnival games and a magic show. You will also find yourself surrounded by authentic hispanic food and music.
Sunday offers a bilingual mass at the Kroc Center starting at 10 a.m.
You do not have to be of hispanic decent, nor do you need to know Spanish to attend the celebration. Organizers say the event is meant to bring people off all creeds together.
The Mosaic Film Experience is now showing in Grand Rapids at Celebration Cinema South.
It's a film festival offering over one hundred hours of film from student directors and professionals around the world. All of the works offer a different way to view the world so that attendees can have a conversation about the mosaics of our lives.
Buy an unlimited pass for $35, which will get you into every film over the weekend.
If you are looking to view just one or two films, adults can buy tickets for $10 and seniors, students, and children can buy tickets for $8.
You can look into the experience yourself on the Mosaic Film Experience website.
And Rockford is finishing its Harvest Fest this weekend with activities geared toward children.
Saturday, enjoy a chili cook-off, a kids' tractor-pull, pony rides, a trick-or-treating costume contest, and so much more.
Sunday offers scarecrow building, soap making, a candy hunt, and pumpkin coloring.
