(DETROIT FREE PRESS) - The Detroit Tigers' starting lineup is the same for today's Game 4 as it was Wednesday night, when the game was originally scheduled.
Right-handed pitcher Max Scherzer will get the start for Detroit, which can sweep the New York Yankees, win the American League pennant and clinch a spot in the World Series with a win today. Left-hander pitcher CC Sabathia takes the mound for New York.
Here's the Tigers' lineup:
CF Austin Jackson
2B Omar Infante
3B Miguel Cabrera
1B Prince Fielder
DH Delmon Young
SS Jhonny Peralta
LF Andy Dirks
RF Avisail Garcia
C Gerald Laird
The Yankees' lineup is the same as Wednesday night, too, which means two big names have been benched: struggling superstar Alex Rodriguez, who has the fifth-most home run in baseball history (647) or former Tigers fan favorite Curtis Granderson, who hit 43 home runs this season but is also struggling at the plate.
Yankees' lineup:
LF Ichiro Suzuki
RF Nick Swisher
2B Robinson Cano
1B Mark Teixeira
DH Raul Ibanez
3B Eric Chavez
C Russell Martin
CF Brett Gardner
SS Eduardo Nunez
It looks like Mother Nature is going to cooperate. As of noon, it is lightly raining in Detroit, but it's expected to slow and stop. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:07 p.m. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 20% chance of rain and a high near 61 for this afternoon. Weather.com projects a 10% chance of rain starting at 1 p.m. through the rest of the night.
Wednesday night's game was postponed after a 90-minute delay.
Wednesday's Game 4 tickets are the only valid ones for today's sold-out game. They are marked "ALCS Home Game 2."
A quick check of StubHub shows about 250 tickets available on its website. Prices start at $95 for standing room only. Infield box seats start at $200.
